I swapped out a HP cd-rw 8100 drive from another computer it powers on but the computer tells me the drivers are missing or corrupt. I don't have the XP disc. Is there anything I can do?

Second, every time I boot my computer my printer trys to install. I have to cancel multiple times. The printer works fine.

I am also have problems shutting down my computer. You cannot use the start menu, shut down, you have to go to task manager and delete the a file then use the task manager to shut it down or restart.

Hope you can help.

The person I had build my computer passed away and I am having trying to learn my self.

Thanks,

Nancy

Making sure your computer problems are not spyware/malware/trojan related

GO HERE http://forums.techguy.org/t110854.html

Download SpyBot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware Se Set them up update and do a scan with both getting rid of all they find

Do a scan with Housecall and Panda

After that download Hijack This 1.98.2 Do a scan and post the log here Do not "fix" anything unless directed from here .
