I have been having a lot of problems since i upgraded to XP from WIN98se and i have been working with microsoft support with some positive results but at the expense of my patience.

Since July of last i have been trying to resolve one problem after another, and now it seems

through my own research that my BIOs is in need of updating and could be causing my

problems with XP and my computer was built 1999 0r 2000. I was inform by Microsoft that

yes my BIOs needed to be updated since it was built pre 2001,it would have been nice that

they could have ask this before now. So my question is how do you update BIOs when the

computer manufactor is out of business?

Check to see if your BIOS is a legacy BIOS which means you can substitute it for another brand or change the entire board that way you will have a new system that's updated.
