Computer locks up after upgrading RAM, why.

Upgrading Ram, xsystem locked up and will not start,

What is the reason for the lock-up or crash?

You may have an IRQ conflict, or bad RAM memory Check your IRQ conflict in device manager you may need to change the setting Also, check to see if RAM was installed properly Or you may just need to let the computer rest for 5 minutes
