Let Data Doctors be your personal IT department today

I submited a question earlier this week and it was a very prompt and concise answer, thanks

very much. But my question today is, i have done more research on my BIOs and i am a little

confused by the info i am getting.First if your BIOs is dated after 1-1-2000 does it need to be

updated?Mine is dated 6-26-2000,BIOs type Award Modular Bios v6.00PG. I read on a Stanford

University site that most BIOs were updated on new computer's to make them Y2K compliant

on or before the 2000.

Although your computers motherboard can run fine with the current BIOS that you have, you may wish to check the website of your motherboard manufactor to se if there have been any new updates released for your motherboard - sometimes these update provide either new functionality or simply correct old problems.
