WHY DOES MY SOUND CARD DIE OUT AFTER 10-15 MIN'S?

My volume goes on when I start the computer, but after 10-15 minutes it stops. I have checked the leads at the back of the computer and sorted them out but the same problem keeps coming up.what should I do?
