Why do I get beeps after installing ddr from sdr RAM.

i tried to upgrade memory from 256 sdr to 512 ddr , i had removed all sdr and simply clicked in ddr stick but when i power up i get a loop of beeps that means no memory is installed..can you help.

DDR is different from SDR RAM and was not designed to be used in SDR memory.
