Opening attachments?

how do i change the option i choose to open my attachments i made a mistake and now i cann't open any of my attachments i choose picture it and that says it cann't open my attachments but now i have no idea how to go in and change it i know this was the wrong choice after i did it but how do i correct it i even uninstalled pic it but now the attachments come up with gray box because it cann't go to pic it and tell me it cann't open this by this method hope you can help me thank you

In order to change what application opens certain files you can right-click on the file you wish to open, select "open with..." from the popup menu, then "choose program...", select the application you wish to use to open the file - and if this is the application you want to open each time you open this type of file....then make sure that you check the checkbox that reads "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and hit ok This should help you with your problem.
