I made the mistake of upgrading to AOL 9.0. After working with Dell to restore my registry, and downgrading to AOL 8.0plus, I'm still having problems: I can't get into my hotmail account, my computer is incredibly slow, etc. All, I believe, because AOL 8.0plus takes too much memory.

How do I get back to the prior 8.0 version?? I don't have a disk; I live outside of town and use a dial-up connection that is 24.6 at its best time; 18 at its worst. I need to get that memory back - how do I do it??

Thank you in advance.

The problem with AOL is once you upgrade it is nearly impossible to downgrade to the lower versions, without screwing AOL up Best bet is to get an AOL 8 or preferd version cd ( AOL will even mail u one for free.) uninstall your current AOL and reinstall the new one.

NOTE: After uninstall be sure if you are using an upgraded version of AOL, you uninstalled "BOTH" versions
