WHEN I MAKE CHANGES TO FAVORITES AND HOME PAGE, HOW CAN I KEEP THEM?

When i turn my computer off and then back on my home page has changed and sites are added to my favourites list. this happens every time even after i have changed my home page and deleted the favourites folder. please could you tell me why this is and how i can get rid of the problem. thankyou.

USUALLY WHAT HAPPENS IN CASES SUCH AS THIS, IS THAT THE PERSON, AFTER THE CHANGES ARE MADE, USUALLY JUST CLOSE OUT, YOU MUST ALWAY CLICK APPY THEN OK, OR ANY CHANGES MADE WILL BE DISCARDED.
