Where to obtain BIOS upgrade for this computer? Installing new harddrive that calls for a upragrade due to being over the 33.8 gig capacity. The harddrive freezes when on the internet

using to play games and other high usage programs!

Says I MAY need Bios Upgrade or use the CLJ (Capacity Limiting Jumper) which I did but now the configuration may be incorrect. There is a lot of confusion here since the Model Number on the new Hard Drive is slightly different and the (jumper setting diagram on the hard drive is

different than in the manual. Do you think I can remedy this problem with a new BIOS or

should I get a diagnostic done on the computer? Please advise.

Bill, First thing I would do is visit the hard drive manufacturer's web site (if they have one) Check to see if there is a some-psudo bios plug-in file to make your hard work Also check for known compatiblty issues with the hard drive and your BIOS If that doesn't work, just try to download a newer version of your BIOS from the internet Hope that this helps.
