not sure what vidieo card. cd rom is 40x This computer's hard drive crashed. In its bios I could set it to boot from cd 1st but it won't do it. So I put the hard drive in my computer and was able to reformat and reload win xp. But when I returned it to the origanal computer, I get a blue screen telling me that I need to check the computer for viruses and/or hardware config. This one has got me. Any advise? By the way your Sat. mourn show is awsome.

Thanks a bunch.

You may need to create install disk to install the OS, formating the Hard-drive and re-installing the OS and then tranffering the drive to another machine wont work.....you actually have to install the OS on the machine it will be used in (issues with drivers and such) So since you cannot boot from your CD (I have a server that does the same), that is why you need the boot up disks to access your CD drive for the install.
