When I turn the computer on, it takes a good 2-3 minutes for the icons to come up, the background and task bars are there, just no icons. It takes a while for them to work as well. When it does work the first thing to come up is the task manager, on its own. Previously i deleted any games (etc) which werent needed on the computer because i thought it might be one of those causing the trouble. I deleted some program which had a few (70meg) on it anout a photo program which was already installed, i figured i didnt need it, is this the problem?. How do i fix this and what have i done? Do i have a virus?

You probably delete a program file The reason it takes so long is because the bootloader is trying to locate all the startup files inorder to have a sucessful start up Reboot your computer and hit " F8" key and select SAFE MODE and hit enter, if you are not sucessful, then insert your boot disk and restart your computer Good Luck!
