HOW DO I KEEP MY MODEM FROM AUTO-DAILING WHEN I START UP?

All of a sudden, over the last 2 weeks, my dial-up has started to automatically launch when I power up my machine and after I've diisconnected it also launches just after shut down.

GO INTO CONTROL PANEL, GO TO DIAL UP CONNECTIONS, MAKE SURE THAT CONNECT AT LOG ON IS DISABLED AFTER THAT CHECK THE DRIVERS
