Why won't my computer boot up?

WHEN I TURN MY COMPUTER ON IT SEEMS LIKE IT IS TRING TO BOOT UP

BUT IT GETS BLANK SCREEN WITH A LITTLE WHITE LINE FLASHING IN THE TOP LEFT CORNER CAN YOU PLEASE HELP

Sounds like a problem with the OS or virus (especaly if you can still enter setup before this happens) Trying booting from a floppy, the runnig some dianotic program like scandisk off that floppy to fix the problems Hope this helps.
