I got a virus in my computer that wiped out my windows folder. So I got an reinstallation disk to reinstall my operating system, I got about midway through the installation when it stopped installing. It said that the disk did not have a few certain files, so I went out to buy a new Install disk, but my computer is stuck in the middle of the first installation and it won't let me start over. What should I do? The operating system I had on the computer first was XP pro, the reinstall disk I had was for XP pro, when that one didn't work I got a XP home install disk.

What you can do is restart your computer and press F5 to go to safe mode From there you can cancel that first installation
