Is this a hoax or not?

Is this a hoax? Received and email stating microsoft and AOL are running an email beta test. Forward this email to friends and Microsoft will contact you for your address and mail you a check for X amount of dollars for each person you forwarded to.

Yes, this is a hoax, AOL and Microsoft aren't paying any amount of cash for forwarding that particular e-mail I This was showned on the news It's a hoz , so don't even bother opening an e-mail with a subject pertaining to that statement.
