How do I get to the display settings?

Ihave accidently deleted by desk tops icons (except task bar bottom of page). I know that I clicked something - but I have no idea what. All icons deleted with blue screen remaining.

I can get desk top back by using "classic Windows Desk Top", however I would much rather have the desk top that I started with. Any idea what I might have done and more important, how to resotre my original desk top.

Right click anywhere on the desktop then click properties, then click the desktop tap on the desktop tap click customize desktop then you can pick what you want on the desktop.
