when i boot up my system the loading windows xp picture comes up fine but as soon as the windows choice comes up the pictures looks like waves are moving down my screen. this also happened with my other computer (p3 450 mhz.) I was just wondering if it is the tube of my monitor? can the electricity coming into my computer cause this? or could it be my cable for the monitor from the tower to the monitor?
thanks

The the following may cause the problem.
1 Make sure the cable is properly connected to the video card port.
2 Ensure the power cord is connected properly to the outlet.
3 If the problem does not solve, then try another monitor to isolate the problem with the monitor.
If nothing helps, Bad news, you have a virus on your hard drive a month ago, i helped a client with the same problem You need to scan, format and reinstall your operating system.
good luck!
