My computer cannot connect to the internet. I have tried switching the modem with one that worked on my other computer. I also tried several internet providers. The New Connection Wizard stops when I try to set up my internet account on this computer. It seems to be something with the computer. What do I do?
This question was answered on January 26, 2004. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.
Try the following:
1 Click on file and check to see if a check mark is on " Work Offline" If your computer is set on off line, it will not allow you to go to the internet.
2 Check to see if your phone line is properly connected to the port.
3 If the phone is properly connected, then try another cable.
