Can I reinstall Windows XP without Win 95?

It has been 3 years with this comp. Registery cluttered. many files I don't know where came from. Have Windows XP upgrade cd. Can I refromat my computer and reinstall Xp without reinstalling win 95 (only os I have complete set for, everything else is upgrade). I will reinstall everything else that I really want or need. I know I will have to do all the upgrades for windows.

If in reformatting you mean cleaning off your hard drive completely and then reinstalling

Windows XP so that it is the only OS on your computer, yes it can be done providing your

computer has the at least minimum system requirements to install XP.

However, once you have installed XP and that is the only OS you have on your computer, you

are going to have to buy the Microsoft office suite for XP The other software you may have, you should be able to install them with no problem You CANNOT install Win 95/9x office suite onto Win XP.
