Boot problem

when i attemped to upgrade my win 98se computer to win mill. win mill gave me an error message telling me to shut down and start again. now my pc will only boot to dos and I dont want to loose all my info. can this be brought back to the win 98 se or upgraded...

Using a win se format disk scan the hard drive for any error and to fix it when it boots up into the fdisk Type scandisk c: so that it can scan and fix the problem for you.
