This issue can occur if you have an older version of MSN Instant Messenger installed on your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue:

1 Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Add/Remove Programs.

2 Click the Install/Uninstall tab, and then click MSN Messenger Service.

3 Click Add/Remove, and then click Yes.

4 Click OK.

5 Start Internet Explorer, and then connect to the following MSN Web site:

http://messenger.msn.com/ 6 Click Download Now.

7 Click Run this program from its current location.

8 When the download process is complete, read the information that is provided, and then click Yes.
