8MM transfer to CD (DVD)

What does it take to transfer 8mm home videos to CD?

First, you will need a video capture card unless your camcorder has firewire in which case you would need a firewire port to transfer it to your PC and a CD burner with the software to burn it A video capture card will allow you to connect your camcorder to your PC using the cables that you would use to connect it to a VCR, and it should also come with the softwqare that you will need to use it.
