Windows Xp freezes

my windows xp always frezes never put any new hardware dont know why it does this can you help

Restart your computer and hit "F8" key and select SAFE MODE and hit enter If the start up files are corrupted, it may be help to fix it There are certain applications program winXP refuses to work with and this cause it to freeze.You can also scan your your hard drive for viruses you maybe have virus on your hard drive.
