WHY DID MY MONITOR GO BLANK?

I had just gotten cable internet installed, while surfing the net, my monitor just went blank,

i have no display on the monitor, everything is hooked up right, can you help me?

IT COLUD BE POSSBLE THAT YOUR VIDEO CARD OR YOUR MONITOR IS BAD THE BEST WAY TO CHECK IS TO TAKE YOUR MONITOR AND SWITCH WITH ANOTHER PERSON.

IF YOUR MONITOR WORKS ON ANOTHER COMPUTER THEN YOUR VIDEO CARD IS BAD.

IF ANOTHER MONITOR WORKS ON YOUR COMPUTER THEN YOU MONITOR IS BAD.
