After defraging, several applications will not run anymore. This has happened on every

Window version of defrag I've ever used.

I have two hard drives installed. However, I'm only using the master drive at present.

Have 4 partitions as follows:

C = OS

D = Applications

E = My Stuff

F = Backup

E and F will eventually be moved to the second hard drive.

I've tried using a single partition, or even just two. But have always had problems with the

MS Windows defrag program.

Is there a better way? A better 3rd party software???

Thanks for any insight you can offer to this problem.
