How to protect your computer while always connected to the internet ?

We are switching from aol ( I know you are glade too hear that ) However we will not be going with your fav, eather, Sorry. Anyway what are the steps I will need to take to protect my info since it will always be connected, Oh by the way we will be using Q-West internet, not the 256k but the higher one 1500 ??? Please help or have Adam give me a call.

It's simple, to protect your computer from internet intruders(now that you are always connected to the net) all you have to do is either buy or download a firewall I suggest you download ZoneAlarm, it's a pretty good Firewall, but you can feel free to look for the one that fits you best Hope this helps.
