How to stop pop-up?

I keep getting the same pop up windows from "Picasa" and when I try to close them, ie. clic on the X in the upper right of the pop up window, A new full screen window opens named "about blank" with nothing else. I can minimise the pop up windows with one clic but it takes a least 3-4 tries to finally close them and get rid of them.

Is this some kind of window virus?

Can I fix this?

You may be getting the same pop-ups because of a certain website you are visiting Or it could be you may have downloaded a program that gives you these pop-ups, or a virus To solve this you might want to run any anti-virus software you have and scan you entire computer Also you can download a free program call Adaware 6.0 This is a great program that removes adware and spyware from your computer Spyware can install unwanted programs into your computer without even you knowing and can give you pop-ups Also you can try another program called "Spy bot Search and destroy" These programs are free and can be downloaded from www.download.com by typing in the name of the program This should solve any programs of getting alot of the same pop-ups.
