I have recently purchased a Dell Dimension 2400 Series with Corel Wordperfect Office 11. This is connected via USB cable to a Cannon i860 printer. When trying to print a document with Corel Wordperfect, it takes an extremely long time for the page to print; say 8 minutes, even for a document with a couple words. I have made sure that the USB cable is firmly secured, re-installed the Corel Wordperfect application, re-installed the Cannon printing program, and set the printer as the correct printer for the default (I am using only one printer though). The printer works just fine with Paint, Adobe Acrobat, or any other program besides Corel Wordperfect. I have found that while connected to the Internet via AOL, Corel will print just fine. It is just that while the computer is not connected to the Internet that Wordperfect will take a very long time to print.

Any help would be extremely appreciated,

Milt Sumida
