I've had McAfee antivirus for 11 months and now upon booting I get at least 7 flash screens saying to update my DAT files. It also says if I don't, the program will continue to function. They want money. How do I get rid of the "pop-ups"(probably the wrong term), should I spend the money? Will the subscription renewal work on both my laptop and desktop? Will the program really still work if I don't renew my subscription? McAfee Viruscan Home, build 7.3.6000.0, created 11/18/2002. Should I buy a new package at a real store? Should I switch to Norton?

That's a lot of questions, Thank You

To upgrade your Data files of McAfee

If you already purchased a license of McAfee, you only have to update your data file from the internet, and you do not have to pay nothing, because you already have it, and as you can see you received a pop that said tthe program will continue to function, and it doesn't say that you have to renewal your subscription, and yes will work in your desktop and latptop.

if you want, you can change to Norton, i think they work good, too.
