How can I get my start up and shutdown chimes volume level the same as the other software sounds?

Recently purchased a new computer and added a turtle beach santa cruz sound card and have noticed that the windows startup and shutdown chimes (possibly all of the generic system sounds) are much louder than the music or normal software sounds. Is there a way to get the volumes set to be the same level? Thank You

Go to start > settings > control panel > sounds and mulitmedia look for open windows, and adjust to your prefferance.
