Laptop seems to be running slow.

Did a virus scan, and found one infected file, which was corrected by Nortons.

Proceeded to defrag computer to compress and create more room.

What other steps can I take to find the problem and rectify it?

Thank You,

Mitchell Jun

The reason why your computer is running slow is becasue you have files in your temporary folder which you do not need and cookies when you download you must always check the file if it does not have a virus so it won't affect your other files or ur computer So run your norton once a week if necessary or twice a month so your files won't get affected again These are the steps you can rectify to make sure your computer stays in tact.
