Problems with missing startup

I'm not sure what I did,but when I log-on to the internet, my systray icons inc. (Start button)disappear, and I cant see or use them until I logoff !! Can you you please tell me what the heck I did, and how can I fix this as it's driving me up the wall ??

Sounds like your internet browser is set up to start at the maximum screen try to lower the screen resolution by pressing the two squares on top or check your internet settings to try to fix the problem.
