ok....First of all my main question is...Why does my computer keep knocking me off the internet every 2- 5 minutes? And it is terribly slow when you are on the internet. We have put 512mb of memory in it, defraged the hard drive frequently..and we have totally wiped it out and started the computer back to its original state and it still logs us off of aol all the time. And on top of that when you are online , it takes 30 - 45 secs to download the images on a page!!! The only thing we can think of is that the modem is getting bad or the processor is bad.... We tried another internet service..but it still does it. the computer is about 3 years old. please help?? we paid over a thousand for this system, and it is running like a turtle!!! we also upgraded the windows program from ME to XP Professional.

There are many different causes can contribute to this problem Firstly, scan your your hard drive and run your antivirus program, if you do have and see if you have any viruses on your system If you have viruses on your hard drive, this can cause your computer to work very slow Secondly, if the configuration or application files are corrupted, this can cause your system to behave like that you can restart your computer and hit F8 key and select SafeMode This will restore the corrupted files.

Good Luck!
