Himem.sys error.


Why does himem.sys error comes and my screen becomes blue?


This question was answered on February 11, 2004. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

The "Himem.sys" error is a sysrem file It either corrupted or missisng You can try the following:

1 Restart your computer and hit "F8" key and select "Safe Mode" this will help to restore the configuration files in the registry

2 If # 1 doesn't work, then go to a next computer running Win 98 and create a bootdisk Insert bootdisk and restart your computer and see if this helps.

3 If # 3 doesn't work, then reinstall the operating system.
