I have two cd drives, one is a reader and the other is a cd-rw.
Both function properly
Recently after I installed windows xp, i realized after a few weeks that my cd-rw wasn't working properly. (I use my reader more often and only use the cd-rw when burning cd's)
Now the problem is that whenever I enter a cd in the cd-rw, the light on the cpu of the cd-drive flashes but actually it doesn't read it.When I open the cd drive in 'my computer', it shows that used:0mb and free :0mb.
Any cd i put, whether a blank one or a movie or a game, the same problem happens.
And if i leave the cd inside, the light keeps flashing continuously and doesn't stop.
When no cd is present inside it's okay.
Please advise me what to do and if more details are required, please do ask me .
THANK YOU VERY MUCH

It maybe as simple as using a cd-drive cleaner (The lens be have become dirty from non-use) Try that and see if that helps Hope this helps.
