My monitor has been flickering lately. Also, when I go into a document or even just look in a folder in Windows Explorer, the text turns unreadable and faded as I scroll through the document or folder. The text looks like gibberish.

I degaussed the sceen, according to the instructions in my manual for my HP M50 monitor by turning the monitor off for thirty minutes and then turning it back on. This seemed to fix the probem, but now it has started again.

What could be causing this? Could it be the monitor cable? If so, I can't figure out how to remove the cable from the back of the monitor. Please help! Thank you.

Try the following:

1 Check to see if the monitor power cable is properly connectd or disconnect the power cable and reconnect it.

2 Ensure the cable to the video card is properly connected.

3 If the problems continues, then try another monitor (if you have one) and see if that monitor is working If the next monitor is working good, then there is a problem with the monitor.

good luck!
