There is an annoying popup/virus scare add or pop up by "BuySmarter.com" that trys to trick you into buying their anti-virus programs and etc. The program they are tying to sale is called 'computersheild' I think.

When the stupid thing pops up you can not get out of it without going through the task manager and ending IE completely, at least that is the only way I have found to stop it. You can not even get to your deks top without going to the task manager and etc. If you try to delete the pop up, it just leaves a blue screen.

Have you heard of this before and can you help me with it?

Thanks

Jeff

First scan your pc with anti-virus software just so make sure you have no viruses in your pc Then you need to download this program called "Spybot: Search and Destroy" it will remove all the spyware you have in your computer Spyware puts unwanted things in your pc and they may cause pop ups like the ones you are getting You can download ths program for free at www.download.com Then you may want to down the google toolbar, it blocks most not all pop-ups Hope this helps.
