Monitor malfuntion

My laptop boots up, but my monitor stays dark. How do I fix it?

Your monitor might be expericeing problems try taking it to a repair shop and have them take a look if it was with a PC this problem would only require checking the cables or replaceing the monitor but laptops are more difficuit.
