I am not sure if the problem is with my moniter or video card so i put it here to be safe. It doesn't happen often but every now and then my screen will go completely white. It freezes my computer and I am forced to restart. It seems to happen the most when I'm playing a game with semi-high graphics. I dont think it is the card because i have a Geforce 4200 Titanium. I was wondering if you knew of anything that i could do?

The video card might be defective.

Software is not configured to do graphics, or the software doesn't recognize the installed graphics card The video card may not support this resolution and/ or color setting There may not be enough video RAM: 2MB or more are required The added video RAM might be of a different speed than the soldered memory The wrong adapter/display might be selected Start window in a safe mode to reset display Using window remove and reinstall the video drivers.

Trade a new video card for the video card you suspect is bad or test the video card you think is bad in another good computer which is working
