What can be the cause of this?

I installed the RAM into my computer... I went from one stick of 64mb to 2 sticks of 128mb...

my computer runs on dimm ram.... will only hold sticks of 128mb... NOw that its in the computer constainly resarts itself and when it stays on it gets stuck on the scan disk screen... and freezes..

could there be a potenial virus in it? and what could be causing it?.... there are no beeping sound from the computer and it will not let me enter into any of the reboot features...

You probably have little disk space or theres a virus scan your computer with norton 2004
