How to get rid of virus/trojan?

I have disvovered a virus,trojan named downloader.turow on my laptop. It has been identified by AVG antivirus as a trojan but I can't find any info in thier database about this buggar. What does it actually effect? I mean what does it do to my system and does it compromise my security? Any info regarding this proggy would be appreciated. tnks -dan

Well if you didnt already you need to install anti-virus software like norton And run it to see if it detects the virus If it is already in your pc it may have done some damage already it may have not Just run this software so it can get rid of it If your pc has been corrupted your only other option is to reformat your hard drive This will delete all the files it has corrupted.
