Windows 98 operating system is hanging & working slow

My system has windows 98 operating system.it's hanging & working slow.

Sounds like you have a problem with your power supply remove heavy equipment from the same circuit as your PC (laser printer, fax machine, etc) Also you may want to buy a power surge protector for the computer It sounds like a power supply problem.
