Why does the computer make noise?

When I power my computer up it makes loud noises and in general the tower seems loud. What is this?

It could be your Cd-rom that makes these noises, but that is normal because of the speed they run at Another reason that could make these noises is the fan Computers have fans installed that keep the processor and power supply cool When a fan is about to fail it may start creating the loud noise Your har drive can make noises too which is not good there may be a problem with it You might want to open up the tower and take a look and see if everything is seated/plugged in properly.
