Dear Data Doctor,

Hi! I was wondering if any of you have ever run into this problem before, or would know how to fix it! My computer is doing something strange in that when I click to highlight some words, it only does it sometimes, and sometimes blanks out or only highlights certain words. What could be the matter and how could I fix this annoying problem? I thank you for any help you may be able to give.

I don't know if you mean when you highlight using the mouse or the keyboard, but most likley if your talking about the mouse then you might have to check the trackball (if any) and clean it out You can do so by getting a q-tip dip it in some alcohol and rub the sides, also you can get a can of air and blow the dust out If it's your keyboard than you might just need the can of air to blow the dust from under the keys Good luck
