I use my machine (HP Pavilion ze 440) 99.5% for work. I have installed no games and except for several things like efax & my palm software I rely totally on the OEM software. The problem is this. I rarelt use my RW CD DVD for enything so I thougt I would try a movie on it. I fly a lot and it occured to me I could take along my own movies. I often fly long hauls U.S. to the Middle east , South America, Africa etc. I have seen the same movies on flights so many times I lose count and some are so dumb they have to be dangerous to the grey-matter.

The problem: I rented a DVD put it in the DVD and started the movie as a test. The audio was fine but the video plays for several seconds then freezes - jumps ahead several seconds - plays again freezes - jumps - plays freezes -etc. etc. etc.

I tried several DVD's that play fine on my home unit always the same result - play - freeze - jump and so on can you help?

Hardware - Software - Memory What?

Thank you for any help you can provide. I live in the White Mountains and only get to the valley to hit the airport.

It look like you need to add more memory or you need to free up some space on your hard disk in order for the movie to play correctly.
