My homepage keeps resetting

My Internet home page constantly resets to Power Web Search upon every reboot. I am sure this is some kind of spyware that has installed itself on my system since this automatically happened when I clicked on a link in a website and has recurred ever since.

I have tried three different detection and removal products that found lots of spyware files and registry strings and they removed all that they detected. However, the Power Web Search still comes up every time I boot my system. I go to Tools, Internet Options and reset my home page to Google, but it will still chage back to PWS every time on reboot.

After finding some instructions for the removal of some spyware called PowerSearch. I tried the manual removal process but I could not find any of the strings that were recommended for removal in the file registry. I am at the end of my wits!! Please help!!!

Thank You,

Charles Ensey

First go to control panel, add/remove programs and see if Power Web Search is listed there and remove it If not try clearing your history and delete cookies and temporary internet files from the internet options This is most likely spyware or it could be a virus as well I recommend downloading Ad-aware for free from this will remove spyware that may be causing this to happen Also you should scan your pc for viruses by using anti-virus software Also when chaging the homepage always hit Apply then OK.
