How to update virus definitions?

i've got a w32.demo.worm virus from a floppy drive.

immediately i updated my virus definitions for the norton 2002 edition that i use . but everytime i try to repair the worm it prompts with the message that my virus definitions are old and need to be updated.

sir, please help me remove this worm from my computer . thank you

Sounds like a bug in the software, try re-installing norton When you get norton running again you should scan your floppy disk to check for the worm and do a system scan as well.
