I installed a game called Digger on my daughters computer , and she started the game in the dos mode instead of the windows mode , the game digger is a dos game , but it does give you the option to run it in either" run in dos" or " windows" , she selected dos . Now when you restart the computer it automatically goes right back to the game instead of letting the windows enviroment load . Any suggestions?

Three things you can try:

First Method 1

Restart your computer As soon as the computer finishes its Power On Self Test (POST), press the ESC key to start Windows

Second Method 2

Restart your computer Let the MS-DOS-based program start, and then quit the program normally

Third Method 3

Restore your orignal Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files To do so, follow these steps:

Restart your computer Press and hold down the CTRL key until you see the Windows 98 Startup menu

Choose Safe Mode Command Prompt Only from the Startup menu

At the command prompt, type the following lines, pressing ENTER after each line:

ren config.sys config.app

ren config.wos config.sys

ren autoexec.bat autoexec.app

ren autoexec.wos autoexec.bat

Restart your computer
