To start off I am using AOL. When I am getting off the internet I notice just for a second an icon in my tool bar that appears and disapears in the lower right corner of my screen. It looks like two computer screens with a red x on them. It seems to be hiding there while I am on the internet. Can you give me any clues what this may be. Thanks in advance Ron.

That icon you see is your local area connection When you disconnect the red x means you are not connected to the internet The reason it is hiding when you are online is because of a certain setting If you want to see the icon go to "my network places" and then view network connections Right click local area connection and under the general tab click the check box that reads "show icon when connected".
